Wig Guide + FAQ

Everything you need to know before choosing, wearing, and caring for your Glass Box Hair wig.

Wig Basics

Why choose a closure wig?

Closure wigs give you a natural-looking finish without the maintenance of a full frontal. They’re easier to put on, easier to take off, and a great option if you want an everyday wig without using glue.

How does a glueless wig work?

A glueless wig is designed to stay secure without adhesive. The adjustable band and cap help create a snug fit, while the closure gives you a natural-looking hairline with less lace to manage.

Can I change the part?

Yes. Most of our closure wigs can be worn in different parting styles depending on the closure size and how the wig is customized. You can also slightly shift the wig to create a different look. ( my personal fav )

Can I curl or straighten the hair?

Yes. Our human hair wigs can be curled, straightened, and restyled. Just like your natural hair, too much heat can lead to dryness, breakage, and matting over time—especially on custom-colored wigs. We recommend using a heat protectant and keeping heat at a moderate temperature to help preserve the hair.

FIT + CUSTOMIZATION

How do I choose my cap size?

For the best fit, measure the circumference of your head around the hairline and just above the ears. Compare that measurement with the cap-size information listed on the product page. If you’re between sizes, contact us before ordering so we can help you choose the best fit.

What comes customized?

Customization can vary by wig, so always check the individual product page. Depending on the unit, customization may include bleached knots, a customized hairline, cut lace, styling, and an adjustable band.

Is the lace already cut?

If the product page states that the wig is ready to wear, the lace will arrive cut. Always check the specific product details before purchasing, since customization may vary between units.

Will my wig look exactly like the photo?

Not always, Because many Glass Box Hair wigs are customized and colored by hand, slight differences in color placement, styling, and finish can occur. These variations are part of what makes each unit unique.

ORDERING + CARE

How long does processing take?

Processing times vary depending on the wig and whether additional customization is included. The estimated processing time will always be listed on the individual product page before you purchase.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping time begins after your order has finished processing. Delivery estimates will be shown at checkout and may vary depending on your location and the shipping method selected.

Are wigs final sale?

Yes. Due to the hygienic nature of wigs and the customization involved, all wig purchases are final sale. Please review the product description, sizing, color, length, customization details, and processing times carefully before placing your order.

If there is an issue with your order, please contact Glass Box Hair directly so we can review it with you. For complete details, please see our Shop Policies.

Can I sleep in my wig?

We recommend removing your wig before bed whenever possible. Sleeping in your wig can create extra friction, tangling, matting, and dryness over time—especially with custom-colored hair.

If you do sleep in your wig occasionally, wrap the hair in a silk or satin scarf or bonnet and make sure the hair is completely dry before bed.

How should I care for my wig?

Treat your wig gently and avoid excessive heat, heavy product buildup, and rough detangling. Use a wide-tooth comb or detangling brush, work from the ends upward, and store the wig properly when it is not being worn.

For custom-colored wigs, extra care is especially important to help maintain softness, color, and overall hair quality.

How long can the wig last?

The lifespan of a wig depends heavily on how often it is worn and how it is maintained. With proper care, quality human hair wigs can be worn for an extended period, but frequent heat styling, sleeping in the wig, product buildup, and improper detangling can shorten its lifespan.
